Is there a Strava for lifting?

Checked November 7, 2026. Prices are from the US App Store that day.

Yes, a few, and Strava is now one of them. Since May 2026, Strava's workout log records sets, reps and weight and draws a map of the muscles you trained. Apps made for lifting, like Hevy and LOGR, put a feed of your friends' workouts around a full gym log.

When Strava is enough

If your friends already run and ride on Strava and you lift a few times a week, its workout log keeps it all in one feed, and Strava says more than 200 million people use it. Its strength log is new, though, and sits inside an app built around runs and rides.

When a lifting app fits better

A lifting app is built around the gym: routines you repeat, PRs, and friends who lift. Hevy has the most lifters and the most devices, and can send each workout on to Strava, so your Strava friends still see it. LOGR is free with no subscription and built for lifting with friends and teams on iPhone, but it does not post to Strava. For the two of them in detail, see LOGR vs Hevy.
